I arrived in Mexico city 4 days ago, in time to watch the Spain-Portugal match in the Historic centre of the city. The day after, following some much needed sleep, I met the Makesense team in person for the first time, as well as the other scholars, and we were introduced to their project based learning approach.

The following days have been spent beginning my own group's project, which involves creating a report on the operations of Hagamos Composta, an organisation which recycles organic waste in many cities in Mexico and abroad, and creating a resource guide to aid different locations in acquiring funding. Additionally, we got the opportunity for a tour of Rennueva (pictured above), a plastic recycling company in the city, which another team of Makesense scholars are working with.
