LiA Sixth Week Reflection
Time passes so quickly. In a blink of eyes, it is already the last week of the leadership in action project. After finishing our showcase, it is time for farewell and saying thanks to everyone who helped us along the journey.
I couldn't stop my tear when read the letter to my future self I wrote six week ago. The questions and the encouragement are so sweet and touching that I am glad to find myself grow up a lot in just two months. It was delightful to discover how I achieve most of the goals I wrote down. In addition, I have gained much more than what I expected, growth in soft skills, leadership, and connecting with amazing people around the world. My brain started to flip through the first few sessions regarding self-understanding and assertiveness. Reflecting on my strengthes and weaknesses, I have done my best to learn and make use of my talents in this project.
Allow me to send a list of gratitude to all who helped me along the way,
our programme mentor, Judith and Paulla;
my dearest partner, Tarika
amazing scholars from all around the globe, Alannah, Alison, Callysta, Doris, Fernanda, Ghita, Lain, Neil, Zac
Killa Natural Ancestral, Araceli, Diana, Elizabeth, Genara, Mariana
our volunteers, britney, Enrique, Juliana, Salonge
and many more!
Writing this piece of reflection in my return flight to Hong Kong, I already started missing the time and culture in Peru with all the fantastic journeys and adventure, with scholars, volunteer, mentors, and friends. This two months is something I could never forget in my life. I would continue build on what I acquire here to become a better person, a future leader.
