Beyond working in the museums, my free time has been spent in various settings with engaging in open lectures, new exhibitions, plays, and relaxing in nature. In a shared townhouse, I have particularly been connecting with my housemates from various places (including the Netherlands, Argentina, India, Canada, Kentucky, and Georgia).
In particular, I have relished in traveling to all the bookstores, cafes, gardens, and viewing the beautiful architecture (especially as an art history fanatic). Attached below is an image of my favorite bookstore here, Blackwells, the Christ Church dining hall where they filmed Harry Potter, a cyanotype I created at the Arboretum, wild Horses in Port Meadow, and a large lily pad in the Oxford Botanical Garden.
Through engaging directly in the community, I have learned more about the artistic and cultural history of Oxford itself. In turn, discovered more about my interests, passions, and commitments to supporting inclusive communities.
