This summer, I am excited to intern at The Bristol Port Company, where I will develop a charity plan in collaboration with Avonmouth Primary School and Crockerne Primary School. The project's goal is to foster meaningful partnerships that enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged students while promoting community engagement through corporate social responsibility.

Objectives

Establish Partnerships: Initiate contact with both schools to discuss potential collaborative projects and outline the framework for our partnership.

Draft Agreements: Create clear school agreements that define the terms of our partnership, ensuring mutual understanding of roles and expectations.

Develop a Volunteering Programme: Establish a volunteering programme that enables employees from The Bristol Port Company to engage with students, providing enriching experiences and support.

Outcomes

The anticipated outcomes of this project include the successful implementation of the volunteering programme, which will offer various opportunities such as mentoring, educational workshops, and assistance with school events. By tailoring our approach to the specific needs of each school, we aim to create impactful programmes that resonate with both students and staff.

Additionally, I will focus on promoting our partnership within the community through effective communication strategies, including social media and local events. This will raise awareness about our initiatives and encourage school and company employees' participation.
