Embarking on my six-week Leadership in Action project in Peru has been an incredible adventure. The vibrant culture, rich history, and warm hospitality have already made a lasting impression. In just my first week, I've been captivated by the new environment, from its delicious cuisine to its ancient wonders from when we visited Caral.
Attending talks by Saddit Siuce and Antonio Herrera was profoundly impactful. They emphasized the importance of recognizing a country's challenges while still loving it passionately and working to improve it. The cultural fair showcased the different scholars' rich heritage, reinforcing the value of appreciating different cultural identities.
Adjusting to a new environment has been both exciting and challenging. Navigating unfamiliar neighborhoods and acclimating to local customs required a steep learning curve. Jetlag made the initial days tough, but the thrill of exploration kept me energized. The constant engagement has been demanding but immensely rewarding.
Looking forward to more in the coming weeks!
