Monday 24 September: Start of Term
Laidlaw Team seeks submission of new summer projects from academic supervisors for summer 2020.
Laidlaw Scholars summer project outputs should be received by start of term.
Saturday 12 October: The Laidlaw Conference 2019 at UCL: Around 180 Laidlaw Scholars from across the UK and internationally will be coming to UCL for a day of talks and leadership activities. We'll be looking for volunteers to help us run this event and attendees from UCL Laidlaw Scholars.
Laidlaw Team runs briefing session for prospective supervisors. Seeking Laidlaw Scholars to join this meeting.
Posters in The Cloisters / Posters in Parliament: Applications open and Laidlaw Scholars are encouraged to enter.
Friday 8th November: Voluntary additional training: Presentation Speaking Skills: A half-day session which will run once in the morning and again afternoon for 2019 Laidlaw Scholars. We will circulate a sign up Doodle poll at the start of term to sign up on either the AM or PM session. It's voluntary - but comes highly recommended by last year's cohort.
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November: Leadership Training 3 for 2019 Laidlaw Scholars: The last of the 3 training weekends will look at leading in a variety of different contexts and organisations. This is a core mandatory part of the Laidlaw scholarship.
November - date to be confirmed: Poster Presentations by 2019 Laidlaw Scholars. This will take place one evening towards the end of November to allow scholars to display their project posters, and present them to invited guests and other Laidlaw scholars.
November - date to be confirmed: Laidlaw scheme opens for applications from first year undergraduates.
End of active Laidlaw Scholarship: 2018 cohort. We say goodbye to our wonderful 2018 Laidlaw Scholars who join an active and ever growing network of Laidlaw Alumni.
Laidlaw Team submit their annual report to Laidlaw Scholars.
