This project developed a computer-vision pipeline to automatically detect, count, and track surgical instruments across seven dental surgery cases. Using YOLO11 alongside object tracking, the system aimed to identify patterns of instrument use and assess whether automated monitoring could support evidence-based surgical tray rationalisation and more sustainable healthcare practices.
