Research Report: Optimising a Myocardium-like Hydrogel for Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Culture
This study optimizes hydrogel scaffolds as synthetic myocardium models. Alginate and alginate–gelatin blends were tested for mechanics, while acoustic patterning recreated anisotropy. Results highlight how composition, stiffness, and alignment guide functional in vitro cardiac models.
