Aim and Future Research

The long-term aim of my project is to optimise existing CT technology to deliver improved patient outcomes. Having an accurate up to date review of the current contrast agents employed by clinicians and research groups can aid in their development and eventual release in hospitals. This becomes especially important when considering remote or poorer areas, where a portable CT scanner paired with an efficient contrast agent would have the power to provide an earlier diagnoses and enhanced scans for surgery or treatment. To disseminate my research I aim to have a published research review paper by the end of year two of the Laidlaw programme.
