About Silvana Navia
Rising junior at Barnard College, conducting independent research on the humanitarian crisis at the U.S-Mexico border. Working directly with immigrant families undergoing reunification after being separated due to the Zero-Tolerance Policy to provide support and identify patterns of unmet needs. Through recommendations, my findings will help improve the process of reunification for families and strengthen non-profit services offered to immigrant communities. I aspire to attend law school after graduation and want to pursue a career as an immigration/criminal attorney.
