About Munia Jamal
My name is Munia Jamal Abusayma, and I am 25 years old. I am Palestinian from Gaza City. I grew up in Gaza. Despite the challenges I faced, I pursued my education passionately. I have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. I completed my high school with a high GPA, which enabled me to join the pharmacy faculty at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. So I am a pharmacist. I have evacuated to Egypt after spending 6 months amid the war in Gaza, facing very hard conditions and displacement from our home to living in a tent.
HEC Paris and the Laidlaw scholarship represent a beacon of hope for me. I am determined to pursue my MBA studies at HEC, as I believe it will equip me with the knowledge and skills necessary to rebuild my life and contribute positively to my community. Hec will not only allow me to continue my education but also empower me to make a difference in my war-torn community. I am committed to using the opportunities provided by HEC Paris to create a brighter future for myself, my family, and other women who have similar circumstances in Gaza.
