Hi, I'm Natalie, an incoming second-year student at the University of Cambridge reading History. I am an international student from Sydney, Australia! In my degree, I specialise in early modern European intellectual history, though my Laidlaw project centres on an exploration of imperial women's power and agency in the Augustan age, employing  a case study of Julia the Elder.

Hello! My name is Annie, and I am a second year undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, studying Geography.    My research project is titled ‘Scroll, Share, Speak: Examining Generational Engagement with Feminist Content on Social Media’. My project investigated the engagement patterns of self-identified women in the UK with feminist-related content on social media. The investigation examined how often different generations engage with digital feminist content, and the type of content and platforms they find most appealing. I explored how social media has influenced the way feminism is expressed and perceived, particularly in terms of its effectiveness in driving real-world change and shaping more inclusive forms of engagement.   In my spare time, I love to spend time with my friends and family, go on walks, and play netball.    If you’re interested in learning more about my research, or simply starting a conversation, I’d love to connect. 

Hi, I’m Caitlin. I am a History & Politics student at the University of Cambridge; in particular, I love American History, local politics and modern politics of both the UK & US. I am from Liverpool and play cricket at university. This year, I am also helping run Feminist Society and History Society at my college. 

Hi! I'm Hannah, a second year Undergrad studying French and Latin at the University of Cambridge. I have a particular interest in Early Modern French Literature and History. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors and doing sports - from climbing mountains and running to going for walks with friends and rowing for my college boat club. I'm definitely happiest when outside in nature! I am also an avid reader, and I adore travelling, exploring new places and getting to know new people.

I am an Archaeology undergraduate at Newnham College, University of Cambridge. I am interested in biological anthropology and human behaviour, especially cooperation and how it has evolved.  This summer I worked on a project titled 'The Cooperation Puzzle: What drives people to cooperate?' with my project partner Shrey. 

Hi! I’m Joelle, a final-year Psychological and Behavioural Sciences student at the University of Cambridge. My academic interests include developmental psychology, criminology, and issues surrounding diversity and inclusion. My Laidlaw research project explored the effects of single-sex and mixed-sex schooling on adolescent social development. I’m currently undertaking my Leadership-in-Action project in India, working at Rajasthan Hospital and supporting a care home for young boys affected by HIV/AIDS. Hey everyone! I'm a Classics (4-year programme) student at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. I grew up in Hong Kong but went to high school in Arkansas. Right now my main focus is surviving (and hopefully thriving!) at university, but I'm open to any opportunity to develop my interest and skills in literary studies, research, creative writing, leadership, and creating change through education and the humanities!

I am a Cambridge student and Laidlaw scholar whose research focuses on individual experiences of asexuality and mental health in the UK.  I am more broadly interested in research focused on LGBTQ+ experiences, and on reducing stigma and increasing access to healthcare for minoritised groups such as racial, sexual and gender minorities. 

Hello! I am a third year student of Human, Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge specialising in politics and anthropology. My Laidlaw research project focused on what the presence of political microtargeting says about modern political engagement, and for my Leadership in Action project I spent 8 weeks volunteering at a refugee community centre in Serres, Greece!
