Identifying potential host directed therapies to boost the host immune response in macrophages to Mycobacterium Abscessus infection’
This project is at the intersection of respiratory medicine and immunology and aims to identify therapeutic agents that can potentially be used in the treatment of M.abscessus infection. M.abscessus infection presents a high risk to the 1400 patients living with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland currently.
