I'm a Class of 2028 student at Barnard College of Columbia University in NYC. I am pursuing a combined major in Gender Studies and Human Rights. My degree is centered on feminist anthropology, with particular attention to gendered forms of violence and resistance in the occupied West Bank. In my free time, I study Hebrew (Yiddish next, I hope), explore museums, and cook with my friends.

Hello! My name is Bhadra, and I am a third-year Law and Business student at Trinity College Dublin. I am part of the 2025 cohort of Laidlaw Scholars.
My Summer 1 research topic was 'Motherhood on Trial: A Comparative Analysis of the Miscarriage of Justice in Infanticide Cases', and I took an inter-jurisdictional perspective in examining three notable cases - those of Joanne Hayes, Sally Clarke and Kathleen Folbigg. I look forward to spending this summer working on Makesense Americas' Central LiA in Mexico City with Genera Territorios AC. The organisation works on financial empowerment, social inclusion and gender equity, and I am excited to support their aims.

Hello! My name is Frankie and I'm a rising junior from Sacramento, California working on a combined major in Art History and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. My academic interests center of medieval representations of the womb and fetus, midwifery, and domesticity. I want to explore how artistic representations of pregnancy offer insight into the legal and religious governance of abortion. Broadly, my research examines the intersections of gender, power, and reproduction in late medieval Europe.

In my first summer, I conducted quantitative and spatial research on housing inequity in Morningside Heights, utilizing statistical software and GIS tools to analyze data and spatial patterns, to better inform policy decisions.
