As the 6 weeks draw to a close and our project moves into its final stage I look back at what we have achieved.

This week, my work has been focussed on writing the policy implications of our research. After examining the quantitative and qualitative results of what we have produced and discussing them with the team, I have collated the results into a report, which will feature both on our final submission and poster. Moreover, I have been adding the finishing touches and refinements to our literature review - the compilation of all of the prior research of the project. 

It has been of further importance this week to begin to set out how the project can be built upon and improved by the following generations of Laidlaw scholars. It has been a joy to work on a project that is bigger than ourselves and we know will be continued by others. I am happy with the work we have done and the impact we have had and look forward to how others will improve on it!

I feel as if I have learned a lot in the last six weeks. This is perhaps one of the projects that has required the most communication and teamwork skills of any I have worked on before and I have benefitted from improving those skills. My team, as the project has developed, has learned about each of our individual skillsets and worked in a way that meant that we could get the most out of each other. Each member has demonstrated leadership in the section of the project they were in charge of handling.

I am excited for the Leadership in Action part of the Laidlaw scholarship, and am grateful for everything the programme has done for me thus far!
