Week 4 marked the point where we were really starting to move from research into shaping our final proposal for Rennueva.

The week began with one-to-one mentoring, which gave me a chance to reflect on how much progress I had made so far and where I still needed to improve. We also had a group feedback session with Keni, Aide and the other teams. Some of the questions were challenging, but they were really useful because they highlighted the gaps in our project and helped us strengthen the areas we had already been working on.

We also had another very productive call with Hector and the Rennueva team. Each meeting seems to give us a clearer direction, and this one helped us build on our previous research and decide what needed to come next.

A big focus for me this week was using Design Thinking to look at the plastic waste problem from the perspective of the people and businesses that would actually use our system. I also started exploring how our final ideas could connect more closely with Mexican culture, including inspiration from Mayan mythology and the relationship between people, nature and the environment.

We also had a really interesting session from the Genera Territories team about bees, wildlife and community empowerment, including some very good honey tasting!

Outside the project, I spent more time exploring Mexico City, including Chapultepec Park, trying even more food, and making the most of the city while we are here.

It definitely feels like we are entering the final stretch now, with the project becoming much more focused and real.
