Today was a special day at Swara’s Ettumanoor unit. We hosted the CraftHER 2025 cohort!

CraftHER is a 6-week leadership journey for Laidlaw Foundation scholars from around the world who come to Kerala to engage with women, crafts, and community. This year’s scholars are from University of Oxford, Durham University, and Barnard College and today, they stepped into the small unit where Swara began in Kerala.

Today reminded me that leadership doesn't always look like boardrooms or suits.

Sometimes, it looks like women sitting around a sunlit room, sharing skills and stories across languages, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

Grateful for days like this. Grateful for work that brings the world to Ettumanoor.
