The Voices in Action Initiative: Awarded by The Kiwanis Club of Nassau
On July 24th, I was honored to attend a meeting of The Kiwanis Club of Nassau, where I witnessed a new member induction and helped answer questions about the development of the organization’s online platform. I was genuinely surprised to learn that The Kiwanis Club had decided to award me honorary membership in recognition of my development and implementation of The Voices in Action Initiative.
During the presentation of the award, the Club President emphasized not only the organization’s core principles, to uplift and serve others, but also their commitment to instilling those values in younger generations. I was deeply moved to be recognized as a reflection of that ongoing mission and even more grateful to have had the opportunity to help cultivate those same values in the students I taught throughout the program.
I am incredibly thankful to The Kiwanis Club of Nassau for their unwavering support of The Voices in Action Initiative, and for honoring the program through this award and the generous gifts that accompanied it. It was truly heartening to see that The Voices in Action Initiative is making an impact—not only within the classroom, but throughout the broader community as well.
