Working alongside Communidad has opened the doors to the inner workings of the indigenous Shipino Conibo community of Cantagallo - children’s inadequate access to foodstuff and its consequent effects on their physiology (i.e. majority being anaemic) has been the focal problem of our project. Having recently visited the community for the first time, exposed to its culture, values, history and daily operations has allowed us to understand more empathetically why the community is not flourishing. The challenge we currently face include aligning heavily theorised systemic issues facing the community with practical solutions to alleviate the proportion of children facing anaemia
