What went well?
The progress I made; what was achieved and done
We are one week into the action phase and have separated the volunteers into groups based on their interest. We have assigned them to create instagram post and posters. Also, we have discussed the feasibility of cutlery return with the volunteers to gain more opinion and perspective.
What could have been done differently?
Things that did not get done and/or could be changed
I could have better management skills since assigning all the task and managing the teams became overwhelming. Also, I can interact with my volunteers more to keep track of their progress and maintain their enthusiasm.
What did I learn about myself when working with others?
Contributions, behaviours and values I exhibited
When working with my volunteers, I had to be patient and determined to provide a stimulating environment to create and develop new ideas. I learnt that I need to be able to elaborate on other people’s ideas and carefully listen to others for a stimulating discussion to occur.
What did I learn about leadership?
Leadership attributes and insights I developed
Since I began working with the volunteers, I learnt the importance of listening to other people’s ideas and the need to maintain a good working relationship with your team members. This helped improve and elevate the discussions we held and promoted an efficient work environment.
What do I want to develop or focus on next?
What I still need to develop
Since next week is the last week of the project, I would like to focus on creating more educational post on instagram and increasing impressions for our page.
