Joe Biden (1942-) is an American politician and president-elect of the United States. Biden won the United States presidential election in November 2020 against President Trump, and will be inaugurated as the 46th president on January 20, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 in the administration of Pres. Barack Obama, and United States Senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009.

Hello! My name is Nikol and I look after the Laidlaw Scholars Network.

I am originally from Kazakhstan and I studied Human Sciences at UCL. My final research explored the potential effects of design on patient wellbeing in hospitals, and I also took modules such as Ethnographic Documentary Filmmaking, Anthropology of the Built Environment, Art in the Public Sphere, and other less interesting-sounding things :)
