- What new ideas, challenges, or other issues have you encountered with regard to your project (this might include data collection, information that contradicts your assumptions or the assertions of others, materials that have enriched your understanding of the topic or led you to change your project, etc.)? How have these ideas or challenges shaped the bigger picture of your research? Has the scope or focus of your topic changed since you began this project? If so, how?

- For my research, I had the opportunity to visit the archives and discover some incredible artifacts. Among them was a fully annotated script of the play I’m analyzing. The pages are very old and fragile, and it was thrilling to look through them. However, reading the annotations has been challenging—partly because I haven’t been exposed to much cursive writing, and partly because some pages are quite messy. Still, this artifact has proven to be an invaluable primary source, offering insight into the artist’s own thought process during the performance. Having access to her annotations has allowed me to narrow the scope of my research this summer to finding a philosophical framework for understanding the body that performs the very markings I now study.

- This is a picture from the archives which was my favorite place to do research in. Outside of the archives I love doing work in one of the Joes on campus whenever they are not too loud!
