This summer, I had the pleasure to work at two EPFL labs: the Hydro Energy and Applied Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, and the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Instability. My project: understanding the dynamics of a pump foil, creating a new working physical model for it, and finding the optimal parameters (pumping frequency and applied force) for most efficient performance.
