Dare To Be Powerful
Audre Lorde
"When I dare to be powerful - to use my strength in the service of my vision - then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid."
Audre Lorde (1934-1992) was an American poet, essayist, and civil rights activist. A self-described “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet,” she dedicated both her life and her creative talent to battling the injustices of racism, sexism, classism, and homophobia.
