To all Columbia Laidlaw Scholars!
You heard about the Deep Dive Conversation Series and the Near Peer Mentoring Initiative at the Global Induction Event, and Columbia is excited to be partnering with Toronto to roll out these initiatives for all Laidlaw Scholars! Below are more details about these opportunities as well as sign up links (please note the June 22 deadline!). We look forward to seeing your application in the mix!
----------------------
The University of Toronto and Columbia University are excited to present opportunities that connect scholars with each other throughout the summer and beyond!
Through Deep Dive: A Conversation series, Laidlaw Scholars will be connected and will have the opportunity to network with Laidlaw Scholars from partner universities. In two sessions offered over June and July, you will get to share and learn from others’ research experience through breakout sessions with scholars and build community and connection with one another. These guided conversations will be led by the University of Toronto’s Laidlaw team.
Subsequently, through the Near Peer Mentoring Initiative, we then aim to connect Laidlaw Scholars and alumni from different universities and different cohorts with one another. Through this initiative, Laidlaw Scholars from different universities with shared interests will be e-introduced to one another. The goal is to provide opportunities for conversation, connection and collaboration, with conversations and meet ups that are designed by Laidlaw Scholars for Laidlaw Scholars.
These opportunities will allow you to network with scholars through shared interests and form lasting connections! We hope you will consider signing up for these!
