Book/Show/Podcast Recommendation- March 2021
Hey friends! As many of us are still in isolation and trying to cope with all that uni work, I thought I would share some recommendations on my favourite Books/Shows/Podcasts this month! Please feel free to leave your recommendations below!
Book:
Girl, Woman, Other- By Bernardine Evaristo
"Girl, Woman, Other follows the lives and struggles of twelve very different characters. Mostly women, black and British, they tell the stories of their families, friends and lovers, across the country and through the years."
Loved this book! Totally recommend it giving it a read!
Show:
Queen's Gambit- 2020
Amazing, well-written and well-directed show! Definitely give this a watch, especially if you love chess! :)
It follows a prodigy chess player from childhood to adulthood and shows her struggles and successes throughout her career.
TW: It includes themes on alcoholism, so definitely don't watch it if it makes you uncomfortable in any way!
Podcast:
LSE IQ Podcast
Would definitely recommend this if you are interested in issues such as social media, cryptocurrencies, gentrification and activism! :)
