Women and Witches: the Role of Classical Mythology in Socio-Political Change
This paper explores the changing role of controversial classical figures and how their receptions both impact and are impacted by contemporary social norms and anxieties. I have explored whether classical reception is an effective analytical lens throughout different media and contexts.
