Two-Thirds of the World Doesn't Exist Yet: How Population Projections to 2150 Redraw the Global Tobacco Epidemic

This study extends United Nations population projections to 2150 for ten world regions, finding that two-thirds of the person-years at stake belong to people not yet born and that conventional discount rates shift projected tobacco mortality away from regions where the epidemic is still growing.
