It was an amazing experience to research the past and current developments in Proton Beam Therapy. It is important to acknowledge the hard work put in by many researchers to ensure cancer patients can get the treatment they need while minimising side effects. This research project focused on minimising the uncertainties in conforming the proton beam to the target volume of the tumor which, therefore, reduce side effects.
