Research Poster: Integrating Natural and Cultural Heritage in Urban Transitions: The Case of Gei Wais in Mai Po Wetland and San Tin Technopole, Hong Kong

This study shows integrating Gei Wais—traditional tidal shrimp ponds—into Hong Kong’s urban planning. Through document review and interviews, it highlights their ecological and cultural value, potential as flood-mitigating blue–green infrastructure, and the need for multi-stakeholder collaboration.
