Project Outline- How Can Monstrous Portrayals Of Queer People In Literature Inform The Contemporary Politicization Of LGBTQ+ Identity In Reactionary British Media?
This project aims to investigate how narratives of 'queer monstrosity' found in fictional novels are employed in reactionary British media to politicize LGBTQ+ identity by comparing the representation of LGBTQ+ identity in literature and contemporary articles through the lens of 'Monster Theory.'
