Literature review
The aim of my Laidlaw research project was to produce a literature review analysing the current knowledge around alternative methods for feeding pigs.
I hope that my research raises awareness of the gaps in the literature, so that more studies can be done to come to better conclusions as to which feeding methods should be implemented going forwards, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable and ethical pig farming practices. Producing this literature review has equipped me with a range of skills from reading academic articles and coming to unbiased conclusions, to managing my time and motivating myself to work independently. I am also thrilled to have learned so much about the world of pig production, which I previously new nothing about.
