Diagnostic Simplification in the DSM-V and the Under-recognition of Autism in Women

My Laidlaw research examines how changes to autism diagnosis in the DSM have shaped recognition, revealing that the problem may lie less in the diagnostic criteria themselves and more in male-normed tools, differing presentations, and the pathways through which autism is recognised.
