As part of my self-proposed research project that investigates the acculturation process and evolution of identity among Hong Kong migrants of the recent exodus in comparison with those from the last century, this poster presents the differences in contexts between these two generations of migrants, which are considered as influential factors of their adoption of various acculturation strategies suggested in Berry's acculturation model. Through semi-constructed interviews, the dialogues with migrants from both generations are recorded and highlighted to guide the discussion in the Findings section.

I hope to evoke the public's reflection on the value of exploring individual encounters within the context of a collective phenomenon, as it is these individual experiences that drive societal changes, often extending beyond the reach of policy control.
