This summer, I had the most amazing opportunity to work with make_sense and Genera Territorios in their fight against gender violence in rural Mexico. Throughout my journey, I was able to learn from and hear the stories of strong, resilient women who navigate complex socioeconomic challenges with courage and grace. I am very thankful to the amazing, hardworking Laidlaw scholars on my team @Stella McVey and @Farsin Syed. I would also like to thank @Jezlyn Montas and @Lillian Sparks for their support and guidance that truly made this experience memorable. More than anything I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to work alongside women so connected to the earth and to their own emotions; whose strength, wisdom, and openness taught me more than I could have imagined! Check out the video we made on our work below!
