My days have not been typical and that's because of the onslaught of rains in Manila. When I say storm, I mean storm. Strong winds. Flooded streets. Unrelenting rains. I haven't experienced this type of weather since 2011, when Hurricane Sandy hit my hometown and closed school for a week.
I attached a video of my boots trekking through the flooded areas, on my way to the office. Before it hit lunch time, though, the city government announced that work and school was suspended.
So for the past 4 days, I have been working remotely, tasked with updating their teaching materials to raise awareness about Filipino IPs in classrooms, conferences, and more. In updating their teaching materials, I have become fascinated by indigenous philosophy and how it has already established the tenets of sustainability that the "civilized" (emphasis on the quotation marks) world is only now understanding.
Here is the intro cover of one of their teaching materials:

Woah - the rain really turned everything upside down. I'm glad you were able to find a passion in indigenous philosophy through it. Also, the cover is so beautiful! Hoping you get some sun soon!!
