Hello everyone!

Thank you very much to all those who filled out our survey to let us know what you want from the Alumni Society - your feedback has been very helpful, and has shaped our plans for the Society greatly.

On the basis of this feedback, we are pleased to be launching a Career Panel series and recruiting Chapter Presidents for North America and Hong Kong! If you would like to contribute to the Panel Series as a moderator or speaker, or become a Chapter President, please fill in the form at the bottom of this post to let us know.

Each Panel will bring together Laidlaw Alums and experienced professionals working in the same field to discuss their sector, and share experiences and tips with Scholars looking to go into their field.

We would love to see you at our first Panel! It will take place on Monday 18th May 2020 at 2pm BST (9am EDT, 9pm HKT), focusing on careers in Consulting.

The Panel will feature Laidlaw Alums Lorenzo Molinari (UCL Undergraduate Scholar, Incoming Technology Consulting Analyst at PwC) and Alice Lassman (Durham Undergraduate Scholar, Incoming Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co), as well as Dr Gabrielle Silver (Chief Executive at CHS Healthcare) and Niall Santamaria (Investment Manager at Edge Investments), and will be moderated by Alumni Society Co-President Emma Franck-Gwinnell (Durham Undergraduate Scholar, Incoming Trainee Solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP).

The discussion will focus on the panellists’ experiences, the Consulting industry, and how to get into Consulting, and Scholars and Alums will be able to pose questions to the panel during the Webinar. To sign up to attend the Webinar, please follow this link.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.

With best wishes,

Emma and Lucy
