My community engagement project is focused on social entrepreneurship, specifically supporting different women groups in the professional and academic space. I am looking forward to learning about the intersections between social impact, innovation, business, and partnerships. I already have some NYC based nonprofit organizations that I would like to collaborate with under Laws of Motion. Moreover, I plan to create a clothing closet initiative. This was partly inspire by the clothing closet provided by Columbia's Career Center with professional clothing for students. I have heard many positive reviews from Columbia's clothing closet and I know other women groups would benefit from this increase access.

This summer is different from my project last year where I was conducting research under Columbia Justice Lab's Emerging Adult center. In my previous role, I obtained a fundamental understanding of collaborating with different organizations and maintaining partnerships. I also learned the importance of prioritizing different tasks based on importance. I look forward to refining these skills this summer!
