Preserving an important culture of an African tribe in Uganda

Goal

What is the big-picture idea/vision and desired outcome of what your LiA project is trying to achieve in order to address the need or problem above?


  • Understand the conflict between culture and progress
  • Understand the importance of culture and the ways to preserve them
  • Understand different ethnic groups and how they play a role in their own respective communities

Objectives

  1. Go beyond my comfort zone and get to know the local people in greater depth
  2. Read prior materials to understand Ugandan culture first and write what I observe
  3. Make weekly reflections through my camcorder
