This week, to mark the recent passing of the Rock 'n' Roll legend, we are featuring a quote from Tina Turner.

Tina Turner (1939-2023) was an American-born Swiss rock 'n' roll singer, often called the 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll'. Born in Tennessee, USA, Turner rose to prominence in the late 1950s, first performing in a group and later embarking on a solo career.

Throughout her career, Turner became one of the most decorated artists ever. She received a total of 12 Grammy Awards, which include a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and three Grammy Hall of Fame inductions. She was also a trailblazer in other respects. She was the first black artist and the first woman to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. In 2021, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, having previously been inducted with Ike Turner in 1991.
