Asthma is a significant issue in children across urban India, and is often worsened by poor air quality and pollution. Due to the significant variability in socioeconomic backgrounds of Indian families, some treatment regimens are not accessible, leading to low compliance rates. This study will aim to understand the causes of poor and strong compliance levels in urban India, and can inform the design of treatment regimens that patients of different socioeconomic circumstances can effectively follow. This survey-based study will be conducted in Bangalore, India with parents of asthma patients at Shishuka Children's Hospital.
