Through researching the market landscape of Brazil and the semiconductor industry, I combined my research findings with my analysis of the US-China trade relations.

This summer, I had the privilege to work with Cornell's Emerging Markets Institute and their Corning EMI Case Competition on the topic of Brazil's only state-owned semiconductor company CEITEC.

I'm a junior at Cornell University majoring in Government, History, and China & Asia Pacific Studies, and minoring in Law & Society and Information Science. Coming from Hong Kong and Taiwan, I have a very strong research interest in US-China relations and the Taiwan security problem. I will be working on the topic of the impact of the US-China relations on semiconductor supply chain disruption, and its implication to Vietnam's emerging economy. This summer, I will be working as a research intern for the Cornell Emerging Markets Institute, gaining hands-on experience in using databases like Capital IQ, SDC Platinum, and Bloomberg.

This poster does an excellent job of contextualizing Brazil's position within the larger geopolitical tensions of the U.S.-China relationship and the semiconductor supply chain--a very new insight for me! Considering how Brazil could leverage these global dynamics to strengthen its semiconductor industry is a very insightful take.
