The university and the world are changing; students and graduates need to be well-equipped to study, work and manage diversity in order to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and diverse study and workplace. It is for this reason that I will be completing my Laidlaw research project on "Globalised Workplaces: Exploring attitudes towards cultural diversity in the graduate workplace". This Laidlaw project will provide a significant opportunity for me to explore attitudes towards cultural diversity within complex graduate employers to help shape our understanding of current perceptions and attitudes. I will produce a literature review and research poster on the findings. This project will also provide me with the opportunity to feed into a more comprehensive LITE project led by Ms. Maria Hussain to help shape and inform Student Education at Leeds and explore collaborative dissemination activity with my supervisor. 

My motivation behind choosing this pre-defined research project was that it drew my attention from the very first time I read about it. As an international student myself, I felt the core values and aspects of the study deeply resonated with me and so I saw this as a wonderful opportunity to first inform myself more about this issue and also hopefully help shape education policy in the future based on my findings. Looking forward to working on this project and will be sharing some insights and revelations soon!
