I will be working with TayoHelp.com, a project of the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO). Tayo's online platform served as a trustworthy resource for Filipino American communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing culturally tailored information regarding public health education and linkages to community resources. This project will involve an interdisciplinary team of public health physicians, behavioral health professionals, journalists, policy experts, technologists, and Filipino community members working to address Asian American health disparities combatting mis- and dis-information via community-based participatory research, community engagement, and participation in the FYLPRO summer fellowship. This summer, our main research will be to conduct a systematic review of theses, dissertations, and journal articles on mental health within Filipino communities.
