I’m excited to share some very important updates in my research journey!

“Evaluating Prediction Mechanisms: A Profitability Test”, the paper that I co-authored with Prof. Rajiv Sethi and my teammates Yuqi Cheng and Anushka Kumar, was selected for presentation at the esteemed ACM Collective Intelligence Conference at Boston. It was a truly an experience of a lifetime to be able to have our work in a setting full of scholars, and immerse ourselves in multidisciplinary research and conversations of the future in fields such as wisdom of crowds, human-AI teams, and social biases.

This was the result of a year’s worth of efforts beginning from work with the Laidlaw Foundation as a scholar, and if anything, this journey has taught me so much about the twists and turns research takes and the perseverance and passion it requires. It was also amazing to be able to explore Boston for the very first time with fellow Barnard researchers/friends!

I can’t wait to keep ruminating on this experience and the new things I learnt at CI’24 for my career and academic pursuits. A heartfelt thanks to Prof. Sethi, and the Tow Fund at Barnard College for providing me the opportunity.
