Leadership-in-Action Project Review and Learning Log

Laidlaw Scholars will use this template throughout their Leadership-in-Action experience to keep track of their learnings. It includes:

  • LiA Project Overview: Part A. Scholars complete this section once accepted to the LiA project together with the partner organisation; the Scholars then share it with their respective Universities;
  • Weekly Learning Review Log: Part B. Scholars complete this section to log their learning as they progress through the LiA project, and to use in discussions with their supervisors;
  • LiA Showcase: Part C. This section is shared with the Scholars' respective Universities once they decide on their LiA Showcase; the actual Showcase will be uploaded to the Laidlaw Scholars Network.

Leadership-in-Action Evaluation – the Organisation’s Perspective

After your Leadership-in-Action project has been completed, please fill out this evaluation survey to let us know about your experiences with working with Laidlaw Scholars, how you think it went for them, and what can be improved in the future.

Best-Practice Leadership-in-Action Project Guidance

Please see this document for best-practice tips on facilitating a successful Leadership-in-Action project. We gathered these insights from our partner organisations - please use them to further enhance and develop the Scholar’s experience on your LiAs.

Please let the Foundation know if you have other best-practice tips that you would like to add to the list.

Nikol Chen (she/her)

Digital Content Manager, Laidlaw Foundation

Hello! My name is Nikol and I look after the Laidlaw Scholars Network.

I am originally from Kazakhstan and I studied Human Sciences at UCL. My final research explored the potential effects of design on patient wellbeing in hospitals, and I also took modules such as Ethnographic Documentary Filmmaking, Anthropology of the Built Environment, Art in the Public Sphere, and other less interesting-sounding things :)

Drop me a line if you have any questions about the site, or if you'd just like to chat! I am always down to meet interesting people, so let's get [virtual] coffee ☕️
