My Experience in the Laidlaw Research Project
My Laidlaw research project uses AI technology to demystify sustainability reports, addressing the complexity inherent in their multidisciplinary nature. The urgent call for sustainability solutions demands that these reports become more accessible, encouraging a collaborative approach between experts from different fields. To address this critical need, I used AI from the Coze platform to create a bot specialised in analysing reports and responding to user queries. Its success was evident as it distilled the essence of over 30 companies' sustainability reports, making them more structured and digestible. Future enhancements will enable the bot to perform batch analysis, compare reports and make tailored recommendations, promoting informed decision-making and collaborative sustainability efforts.
By bridging the knowledge gap with AI, this initiative will ensure that sustainability reports are not only understood, but also used effectively by different stakeholders. This central role of AI in improving accessibility and understanding accelerates the pace of addressing sustainability challenges and promotes a more inclusive and collaborative approach to environmental stewardship. The bot's expanded capabilities promise to streamline information processing, enabling a more nuanced understanding of sustainability efforts across industries, thereby supporting more informed and impactful decisions. This innovative use of AI not only breaks down barriers, but also propels us towards a more sustainable and collaborative future.
As the bot evolves, it will continue to serve as a vital tool in the hands of experts and decision-makers, ensuring that the knowledge contained in sustainability reports is used for the greater good, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world.
