Here we are in Week 6! This week has been mostly wrap-up meetings and final presentations, including presenting all 5 puppets, 5 interactive games, and 1 stage (see photos below!) to the Make_Sense cohort and Las Sabinas team. After these weeks of research, planning, designing, painting, sewing, and re-sewing, it was so satisfying to finally see everything come together. It was also really exciting to hear that Las Sabinas will use these materials starting next week in their workshops. Knowing that the puppets and games will have an impact on children in Mexico City so soon made the final push to finish feel especially worthwhile and helped me reflect on one of my biggest lessons from these weeks, which was learning to trust the process and keep going, even when things felt unclear or overwhelming. In the end, everything came together, and it was so rewarding to present our final materials!

Beyond the project itself, I feel incredibly lucky to have called Mexico City home for the past weeks. Getting to immerse myself in the city, learn more about Mexican culture and ways of life, and meet different people has been the most valuable parts of this experience. I have also felt reenergized to learn Spanish (something I haven't wanted to do since high school)! I am leaving Mexico City with a much greater appreciation for puppet making and cross-cultural work, and a lot of new perspectives on the kind of impact I want to make in the future. I am so excited to carry the curiosity, perspective, and gratitude I have felt these past 6 weeks with me into my final year at Trinity. Thank you all for following along!
