Oh man, it's been a week. After running into several problems with the code base, I spent a lot of time debugging. And I made several mistakes while debugging, which basically forced me to undo everything and start from scratch Friday evening. Unhappy with my progress over the week, I decided to spend a decent amount of time over the weekend continuing to fix problems until I finally finished last night. Slowly but surely, burnout crept in, and I've spent much of today figuring out what to do next.

Honestly, while there's so much more to be done, I'm taking a short break. Since I didn't really have a weekend break this past weekend, I'm going to take a "Wednesday weekend" tomorrow where I can try to recharge and get back on my game. Because, while holding myself to a high standard is important, I cannot be driven by the fear of imperfection. I am a human being, and I need time for myself, and I hope in a week's time to be writing about how refreshed the break made me feel.
