What is the Virtual Leadership in Action Fair?

Interested in exploring the Laidlaw Foundation’s partner organisations? Or are you planning to complete an independent Leadership in Action (LIA) project but not sure where to start? The virtual fair is here to help!

The fair offers the chance to meet representatives from Laidlaw Central projects and Laidlaw Scholars who conducted independent LIAs and want to champion their organisations. Exhibitors will showcase their projects, offer valuable insights into the purpose and culture of their organisations, and talk about what skills and qualities they are looking for. Whether you are looking for ideas, potential partner organisations, or guidance on how to get started, this fair is a great place to begin.

How Does It Work?

The fair will feature:

• Breakout Rooms: Each presenting exhibitor will host a breakout room where you can drop in, ask questions, and learn about their project.
• Project Booklet: Before the fair, you will receive a booklet with details about all the projects being showcased, helping you decide which rooms to visit.

Who Should Attend?

This event is perfect for Laidlaw Scholars who:

• Are preparing to complete an LIA in Summer 2026.
• Need inspiration, ideas, or guidance for their projects.
• Want to learn from scholars who successfully completed their LIA projects.

When and Where?

We are offering two sessions to make the fair more accessible to everyone:

• Session 1: Wednesday, 5th November 2025 1:00–2:00 PM GMT / 8:00–9:00 AM EST
• Session 2: Wednesday, 5th November 2025 5:00-6:00 PM GMT/ 12:00 – 1:00 PM EST

This is a virtual event hosted on Zoom. A link to join will be shared with registered attendees.

Can’t attend a session? Don’t worry - you can still register to receive a copy of the project booklet and learn about the showcased projects at your own pace. Select either date and order the 'Booklet Only' ticket.
